Start with the basics
An argument gives reasons for a conclusion. Check whether the reasons really support what is claimed.
“All library members have cards. Isha has a card. Therefore Isha is a library member.” Is the conclusion certain?
Remember: Do not reverse a one-way rule unless the passage allows it.
Log in to save highlights and answer practice questions. Select text in a note, then choose a highlight colour. On mobile, touch and hold to select. Choose Save highlights or Save changes to save to your account. You’ll be prompted before leaving unsaved study changes.
Use diagrams for relationships and distinguish logical necessity from everyday plausibility.
Combine comprehension with sentence-level grammar and vocabulary in context.
Translate statements into diagrams or simple conditions. Check whether a conclusion is necessary rather than merely possible.
Test assumptions and deductions, then use small structured cases for puzzles and input-output rules.
Read diverse passages, including literary material. Distinguish a conclusion from its evidence and test assumptions.
Find the argument structure and test the effect of each option on the conclusion. Comprehension questions must stay within the text.
Use compact diagrams, clear direction conventions and quick elimination. Skip long uncertain branches and return later.
