Start with the basics
A business plan explains the problem, the proposed solution, who it serves, costs and how the activity will operate.
A stall sells 10 items for ₹20 each. Each item costs ₹12 to make. What remains before other costs?
Remember: Sales revenue is not the same as final profit.

Explain the idea in your own words before opening the answer. Then apply it to the example.
Explain the main rule in business planning, then apply it to a small example. State the assumption that makes your reasoning valid.
Review the noteA business plan connects customer evidence, operations, resources, financial assumptions and risks. Treat forecasts as hypotheses that need testing.
Worked example: A plan forecasting 1000 monthly orders should explain acquisition, conversion and delivery capacity. Writing a large revenue number without those drivers is not a justified forecast.
Explain the main rule in financial fundamentals, then apply it to a small example. State the assumption that makes your reasoning valid.
Review the noteContribution per unit is selling price minus variable cost. Break-even units equal fixed costs divided by positive unit contribution.
Worked example: Price is 100, variable cost 60 and monthly fixed cost 20000. Contribution is 40, so break-even volume is 20000/40 = 500 units. This ignores taxes and other costs not stated.
Explain the main rule in business strategy, then apply it to a small example. State the assumption that makes your reasoning valid.
Review the noteStrategy chooses where to compete and how to create a defensible advantage. A goal such as grow sales is not a complete strategy.
Worked example: A small firm may focus on reliable service for a narrow customer segment instead of matching a large rival's low prices. The choice must fit its resources and customer needs.
BEGINNER
10 × ₹20 revenue = ₹200; 10 × ₹12 making costs = ₹120.
Revenue = price × quantity
Remainder before other costs = revenue − stated making costs
